The Chief Electoral Officer earlier told reporters that the SIR exercise revealed large discrepancies in voter records.
Around 2.17 crore voters were found missing or had shifted from their registered addresses. Another 25.47 lakh electors were registered at more than one location.
The revision also found that 46.23 lakh voters had died since the last such exercise. In addition, 18.70 per cent of voter signatures were not received during the verification process.
Voters whose names do not appear in the draft list have time to act. Rinwa urged them to submit Form 6, adding that claims and objections can be filed until February 6.
